When it comes to choosing a Philadelphia violinist for your special event, there’s no better option than Miss Musique. A professional violinist-led, contemporary inspired and leading event performer in the Philadelphia area, Miss Musique brought together a stunning, joyous, Jewish-faith celebration at a dazzling venue with their signature wedding and party blend of stringed music.
About 175 guests enjoyed the Aug. 19, 2017 performance by a Philadelphia violinist named Andrea Levine. Andrea is the founder of Miss Musique and during the event she leveraged an acoustic-electric violin, at modern-industrial-space Tendenza, an ultra-chic site in the vibrant Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The space was fitting of the modern yet classically-inspired violin solo performance.
Many different genres of pop music from rap to hip hop, and dance music were performed to fit exactly the mood and atmosphere desired by the bride and groom, and further customized for the wedding ceremony’s processional and recessional. Philadelphia violinist Andrea performed on her hand-made, acoustic violin for the ceremony’s prelude, processional and recessional. For the prelude, she expertly performed renditions of the requested music, including “Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional, “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri,” and “Your Song” by Elton John. As the ceremony began and the seating of the bride and groom’s family commenced, Andrea performed “Wonderwall” by Oasis. As the nine bridesmaids, two flower girls and a ring bearer processed down the aisle, Andrea proceeded to perform “Clocks” by Coldplay. Finally, when it was the beautiful bride’s turn to walk down the aisle towards her groom, accompanied by her two parents, Andrea performed an extra special rendition of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. Tender moments from the ceremony augmented by a violinist Philadelphia performance created an emotional experience for the bride, groom, and audience alike.
The ceremony was capped by the Jewish-traditional breaking of a glass by the bride and groom to signify the timeliness of their relationship. Recessional music included contemporary hits such as “Rather Be” by Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne and “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. For the cocktail hour, the violinist Philadelphia then switched to her “large audience” mode by amplifying her violin with a Bose sound system, and performed many other pop hits including “Paradise”, by Coldplay “Marry Me”, by Train “Home” by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, “All You Need is Love”, by the Beatles, “Viva la Vida”, by Coldplay, and “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas.
Champagne was flowing, and many of the guests were tapping their feet and applauding after the performance, charmed and entertained by the well-coordinated combination of a striking environment, violin music of a wide variety interweaving the ceremony segments and the fun, up-beat music of the cocktail hour. Whether for solo performances with a dazzling Philadelphia violinist or with their string quartet, Miss Musique’s captivating performances will enhance any special occasion.
